THIRD PARTNER’S MEETING IN NAPLES ORGANISED BY CONSORZIO ROMA

This October, the School Art Gallery project gathered educators, artists, and digital learning experts from across Europe for an inspiring two-day meeting in the vibrant city of Naples. Hosted by Consorzio Ro.Ma, the event brought together partners from the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, and Portugal to shape the future of art education by merging creativity with cutting-edge digital tools.

Empowering Teachers with Digital Tools

At the heart of the project lies an innovative training course designed to equip teachers with skills in augmented reality (AR) and digital platforms. Through this program, teachers will learn to create immersive classroom experiences, design interactive digital exhibitions, and connect with the artistic community. These tools are not just about enhancing creativity but also preparing students for the digital skills essential in today’s world.

A Virtual Space for Art and Collaboration

The project is also developing a unique virtual community platform, where students, teachers, and street artists can collaborate and share their work globally. This space will act as a bridge between schools and the professional art world, fostering connections, sharing ideas, and building projects that celebrate creativity and technology.

Highlights from the Naples Meeting

  • Training Course Development: Partners outlined the structure of the AR-focused modules, ensuring they’re practical, engaging, and tailored to meet the needs of educators and students alike.
  • Collaborative Planning: The meeting emphasized the importance of working with schools and local artists to make digital art accessible and impactful.
  • Future-Ready Art Education: Plans were made for the rollout of teacher training programs and community platform testing in early 2025.
